New COVID-19 Infection Control Measures at West Houston Dental

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health.  Our community has been through a lot over the last few months.  While many things have changed,  one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice.  Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care it's both safe and comfortable.  We want to tell you about additional infection control technology solutions we installed in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.

West Houston Dental has your safety and wellness in mind.  To ensure the well-being of our patients and staff, WHD teamed up with ULTRA Clean Room Technologies to implement a 3 stage disinfection system to ensure that viral pathogens are eliminated in the dental office. 

First, we purchased SNiPer Hospital Disinfectant. SNiper is a non-toxic, highly effective solution that is sprayed in a fine moist over all surfaces before and after patient visits.  The residual is non-irritating and last on surfaces for up to 48 hours. 

Our second line of defense is the installation of UV-C Germicidal lighting to treat the upper conditioned air. UV lighting is extremely efficient at not only destroying viruses but also removes mold and allergens when paired with the HVAC system.  This along with the addition of new MERV8 filters will reduce the exposure to germs from the airflow. 

Finally, in our treatment and hygiene areas are corner mounted, non-exposure fixtures which will result in the decontamination of any aerosol that may reside in the upper ceiling area. 

You will also notice air disinfecting purifier sanitizing devices that circulates ozone to purify the practice's air and surfaces.  The purifier will give additional protection by reducing pathogens in our office.

Doctor Tomy has invested in advanced technology to take care of these issues, delivering cleaner, healthier air for our West Houston Dental Family.

And that's not all,  West Houston Dental installed reserved customer parking signs in front of the office for our patients who want to wait in their cars.  Marie can text or call you when your appointment is ready for your convenience.

We want you to know that we don't take for granted that you have chosen us for your dental needs.    We value your trust and loyalty so we are in network with more providers as a result.   We are contracted with Cigna PPO, Dental Dental, Guardian, Aetna, and BCBS of TX (Anthem).     

We are delighted to be able to continue to meet your dental needs safely during this pandemic and would like you to meet Kelsey our new dental Hygienist.  She has strong communications skills and clinical initiative.     

We love to make our patients smile for more than 23 years and our practice has taken care to provide a warm and welcoming environment for our patients.  We think of each patient as a part of our family and only give the highest quality treatment that we would provide  for our spouses and children.
